Teenagers and Rental Cars

When it comes to renting a car, the minimum age requirement is 25, however, some car rental companies allow drivers below 25 to rent a car. If they are under 25, a Young Drivers Surcharge will be added to the rental cost. The youngest age to hire a car is 18 where this option is not available for every supplier and location.

Which companies allow teens to rent a car?

Hertz, Thrifty, and Dollar generally allow renters to rent a car if they are 18 years of age in Quebec and Avis in Saskatchewan.
